How details shared through this site are collected, used and protected across a quote or a live policy.
Information reaches JulianaCars in two ways. Some of it is entered directly, such as a name, an email address, a phone number, a password, vehicle details and the driving information needed to prepare an auto insurance quote. The rest is gathered automatically as pages load, including browser type, device type, general location drawn from an internet address and the pages viewed during a visit.
Only information relevant to preparing a quote, servicing a policy or answering a question is requested. Fields that would not change the outcome of a quote are not asked for.
Details submitted through this site support the following purposes.
Consent for service messages and consent for marketing messages are recorded separately at signup. Granting one does not grant the other, and neither is a condition of receiving a quote or holding a policy.
Where permission for text messages has been given, message frequency may vary and standard message and data rates may apply. Replying STOP ends the messages and replying HELP returns assistance information.
Cookies and similar technologies keep a session active, remember preferences between visits and measure which pages are being used. Browser settings can block or remove cookies at any point, though some parts of the site may then behave differently or stop working entirely.
Measurement data is reviewed in aggregate to understand how the site performs, not to build a profile of an individual visitor for advertising purposes.
Some information is shared with organisations that make the service possible, such as insurance carriers considering a submitted request, hosting and email providers, message delivery services and professional advisers. Each partner receives only what the task requires and is expected to protect it under its own obligations.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, where a regulator makes a lawful request, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Quote and policy information is retained while the relationship is active and for the period afterwards that insurance record keeping rules require. Once no purpose or obligation remains, the information is deleted or reduced to a form that no longer identifies a person.
Technical and organisational safeguards protect information in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections, restricted access and routine review of the systems holding personal details. No method of transmission or storage can be described as completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be promised.
Depending on where a person lives, the following requests may be available.
Requests can be made using the contact details at the end of this notice. Verification of identity may be needed before a request is completed.
Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link in every message. Text messages stop on a reply of STOP. Service messages tied to an active quote or policy may continue after a marketing opt out, since they relate directly to the cover requested.
This site is intended for adults aged eighteen or older who are residents of the United States. Information is not knowingly collected from anyone below that age. Where such information is identified, it is removed from the records held.
Pages on this site may link to resources operated by other organisations. Those destinations follow their own privacy practices, and reviewing the notice published on any site before submitting information there is always worthwhile.
This notice may be revised as services, systems or legal requirements change. The effective date shown near the top of the page reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated notice.
Questions about this notice or about the information held can be raised through the details below.
